Today I made a investment in a leadership coach to help me build my leadership skills and business and to also help me set work/life boundaries. The past 3 months have been amazing. In that time, I've created & designed a website, started a new fitness blog, written multiple ebooks, filmed an 8 hour seminar, created a YouTube channel. And grown a brand that is "Mrs. Liftingstuff Fitness" Hard work is something I know...but I often have 0 boundaries with work and it often comes at the expense of @dr_liftingstuff , my family, and my health. And it's nothing new that I love working, but I'm constantly stressed and constantly riding the burnout train (my bad ) I need help right now to grow into the best me and show up as the best me, help people, continue to create awesome content, that family time and my health are my top priorities, and that my endeavors work for me (not the other way around ). The past few months, my sleep has been awful, I've been either over or under eating, self care has been garbage, and my schedule has been so overloaded that I can't prioritize the things and people that I like. But other times the things that affect weight aren’t so clear. When you can’t pinpoint the cause, consider these seven culprits. 🙈SLEEP - Lack of sleep also has an impact on your hormones. These can promote weight gain and insulin resistance.Ghrelin is a hormone that is released when our body is hungry. It stimulates appetite and promotes fat storage. Leptin has the opposite effect. It suppresses the appetite, telling your body you are not hungry and encourages the body to burn fat. Those who are sleep deprived may have increased ghrelin levels and decreased leptin levels, causing increased food intake, especially foods high in carbohydrates and sugar. 🙈STRESS - As if stress weren’t pesky enough, many people are unaware that it has a sneaky effect on weight. When our stress levels are high, our cortisol (stress hormone ) increases. This decreases insulin sensitivity and can cause weight to be stored around our midsection.The body’s levels of glucocorticoids naturally rise and fall throughout a 24-hour period. However, if the body is in a constant state of stress during both day and night, glucocorticoid levels are constantly high. As opposed to the usual rise and fall, it causes a higher conversion rate of fat cells than usual. 🙈AGE - As we age, muscle starts to be replaced with fat. This results in a slower metabolism, which allows the pounds to start packing on. Many people don’t realize this change in metabolism and continue to eat as they always have. This often leads to weight gain.This can become a vicious cycle. As fat cells increase and replace muscle cells, metabolism becomes even lower, increasing weight even more. 🙈HYDRATION - When we don’t get enough water to aid our body is working correctly (for example, with digestion, temperature regulation, and lubrication of the eyes and joints ), our cells signal the brain that we need more fluids. We often confuse our thirst with hunger and end up eating more.

Can you eat fewer calories but they would come from unhealthy foods instead of eating more calories of healthy food? The answer is NO. Q - Why? Ans - Your body doesn't work like that. It needs a complete macronutrient profile to work properly. By eating unhealthy foods, the chances of achieving the target of recommended nutrients are very less. If you think that you can have fewer calories but they all would be coming from pizza, burgers, cold drinks, etc, then my friend you are absolutely wrong! You simply can't do that. Perhaps you will lose weight being in a calorie deficit but your body will be home to diseases. Follow the 60-40 rule. Eat 60% healthy foods and 40% less healthy. Healthy foods can be tasty as well, and most importantly you will feel fuller for longer whereas unhealthy foods just satisfy you mentally and emotionally but not biologically. I want to talk about FAT. What do you think about when you hear the word 'fat'? Does a particular image come to your mind? Does the voice in your head say the word in a derogatory, nasty tone? Do you think about your own body? Your belly? Thighs? Arms? Fat has become one of the most powerful insults in the world. Fat is seen as the enemy, a threat, shame-filled, to be feared. We spend our lives running from fat. Our culture has given those three little letters so many meanings - no other word is as loaded with such negativity. Fat is ugly. Disgusting. Lazy. Undesirable. Failure. Worthless. It just about seems that fat is the single worst thing a human being can be. How ridiculous is that? Surely it's much worse to be cruel, nasty, prejudiced, disloyal, ignorant, ungrateful or violent...? Fat is not the hideous, shame-ridden, ugly word that we've been taught to see it as. It's not a feeling, nor an insult. What it actually is, is simply a descriptor. Fat is just what it says on the tin. It's fat. The amount of fat cells someone has on their body does not dictate their character, beauty or worth as a person. You cannot BE fat. Just like you cannot BE toes. You just HAVE them. Fat is just something on our bodies - that we ALL have in different quantities, regardless of health. We need it to live! We need to reframe and reclaim the word fat. If we no longer see it as a threat, then we cannot be hurt and ashamed by it, and I truly believe that there would be far fewer people suffering with disordered eating and body confidence issues. What if we stopped running from fat and just accepted it as a normal part of human life? So let's re-wire our thinking. Let's strip the word of it's weight and negativity. We can have fat and be successful, healthy, sexual, fit, strong and happy. Fat is soft. Fat is luscious. Fat is what makes cuddles so lovely. Fat is beautiful. Fat is fabulous. A sociedade a todo modo tenta padronizar as pessoas! Eu cresci escutando que não deveria ter cabelo curto por que iria me deixar aparentemente mais gorda, e já escutei pessoas falando que quem é magra não deve ter cabelo muito grande pra não dar aspecto de ser mais magra. Ano passado não chutei o balde, eu botei fogo nele! Foi literalmente um foda-se pra quem acha que pode opinar na minha vida de forma geral. Sinceramente eu não fui feita pra caber em padrões, isso nunca foi e nunca será feito pra mim, e nem deveria ser pra VOCÊ. With a rubber spatula go around the outside of the cheese pushing the mozzarella down to form a even circular “tortilla”. After about 3-4 minutes you will see the edges turning golden. Start to loosen up the cheese from the pan all the way around and look to see if the cheese has reached a nice golden color. Once the color is a perfect golden hue remove from the heat and let the mozzarella cool down for 4-5 minutes until it’s cool enough to handle and the cheese has tightened up a bit. Gently run the spatula around the sides understand the cheese to loosen from the pan before removing it and placing on a clean surface. Now you’re ready to roll.
