Власть, кстати, тоже бывает разная. Важно, что ты нащупал свою опору. И держась за неё, пока она для тебя работает. ⠀ — О как! А какой вопрос ты можешь задавать себе для принятия решений? Body Recomposition Part 2 : Understand Fat loss and Muscle Gain Last week I mentioned that body recomp is losing fat & gaining muscle at the same time! Before I go over the steps of how to achieve that (next weeks post ), I want to help understand the basics of fat loss and muscle gain! Optimal Fat loss: What's required? (Burn off as much fat and maintain as much muscle as possible ) 1. Caloric deficit - Taking in fewer calories than you use. A deficit of 400-600 calories will help you lose around 1% bodyweight & maintain muscle. 2. Eat around 1 gram of protien per pound of bodyweight, it'll help you maintain your muscle mass. 3. Lift weights few times a week to try increase your strength and maintain mass. Be careful not to over do it as you'll struggle to recover and repair with a caloric deficit if you're too fatigued. Optimal Muscle gain: What's required? 1. Good training volume and a progressive resistance overload - this will help continued growth. 2. Eat enough protein to rebuild, repair and grow, 1gram per pund of bodyweight is still recommended. 3. Create a moderate calories surplus of around 200-250 calories, this will help improve protien synthesis while keeping fat gain low. As you can see there are some conflicts when trying to do both at the same time such as: ➖ Fat loss requires a caloric deficit while muscle gain requires a surplus ➖ Muscle gain requires increased training volume while during fat loss it's difficult due to the caloric deficit and focus on maintaining performance.
