Last night I watched “how to lose weight well” on Chanel 4. For those who have never watched it, they basically try out all these different diets on different people. For example one girl was only allowed to eat pineapples for 3 days per week. Disclaimer: this obviously doesn’t work long term. *** ED trigger warning Which led me to thinking, what’s the WORST “diet” you’ve ever tried? Thank you for all of your answers, some made me laugh and cry... Juice diet (a v popular one it seems ) Liquid diet Bootea (omg pls tell me they are redundant ALREADY 🤬 ) Slim fast Slimming world 24 hour fasting Low carb, low calorie (an all time least fav of mine ) An egg diet (does what it says on the tin I imagine ) weirdly came up a lot. The devil wears Prada cube of cheese diet Grapefruit and rice cakes The “Beyoncé diet” maple syrup and cinnamon Nuts and fruit Not eating in front of boys, which meant one meal a day (very common 😣 ) Cigarettes and diet pills (😭😭😭 ) Only eat coco pops (😂😂😂 ) Only steamed courgettes Cabbage soup diet Lighter life Lemon juice and cayenne pepper diet Paleo - chicken for breakfast Atkins LOW CARB LOW CARB LOW CARB (this came up A LOT 💔 ) The worst one I ever tried, (I could name you many but I’ll start with this ) would be only eat fruit for breakfast and lunch and only vegetables for dinner🙄🤭😂 For someone who did a lot of sport this was stupid and dangerous. I’m so glad with all the responses people knew they were stupid and recognised that they obviously wouldn’t work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 It upsets me that I used to demonise carbs so much and now I genuinely eat pasta 3/4 times a week with my Ironman training (because pasta makes you run faster, fact ). (Obviously this picture was not taken today, as this morning I’m looking a 1/10 ) 💕

It has been 20 weeks since we were first locked out of our gyms and fitness classes. The doors may have reopened but for many of us we are still working up the courage to walk through them.  If you are anything like me, thoughts such as "this is going to hurt" or "how am I going to lose all this weight?" are running through your mind. But, instead of allowing these thoughts take over, let's just cast them aside and use this as an opportunity to view exercise in a new light. Let's forget about our goal to lose weight and inches. Let's forget trying to reduce our percentage body fat. We already know that exercise is a powerful way to take control of your health and wellbeing so let's embrace THAT. We need to start thinking of exercise as a way to improve our fitness, to become stronger, to challenge our bodies and see what they can do... how they can move.  Weight loss should never have been THE goal. We should have been encouraged to focus on all the positive aspects of exercise. How it impacts our mental health and wellbeing by improving our mood and reducing stress. How it increases our energy levels and promotes better quality sleep. How it strengthens our bone density and improves our cardiovascular health. These things will have a much bigger impact on your life and will be far more powerful as a motivator to stay consistent. So as you are gearing up for your next session don't focus on what you want to lose. Focus on what you want to gain. Day 1 of #75Hard and I am EXHAUSTED. It looks simple when it’s listed but once it’s time to do your second workout after a long day of working, you start having second thoughts lol, and it’s only Day 1! I have convinced myself that today is going to be the most difficult day as I’m still wrapping my mind around adapting these new habits. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I drank my gallon of water and HOW many times I had to pee, but that was expected. The hardest part for me wasn’t the water, or diet, or reading, it was the indoor workout! I recently purchase the At Home BBP from @goodfitnessapp and it is AMAZING! My legs were jigglin’ halfway in but the routine and actual workout is so easy to follow and keeps things simple which I haven’t found in other programs. At the beginning of this year I told myself I would make it about making changes to thoroughly take care of my well being. Little did I know just how drastically it would happen. It didn’t happen the way I wanted to - that’s for sure. There was loss, anger, guilt, and difficult changes. But it happened the way it needed to, and that was all out of my control. In no way do I have it all together- that would be an understatement- cus I am still brand new in this process. But today I am grateful, even when it’s tough. feeling uninspired to cook since returning to nyc- I attribute it to 1. nothing sounding as good as my mama’s home cooking 2. the extreme heat 3. my desire to support local spots 🌸 sushi is my all time favorite meal so I treated myself to a little takeout this weekend and plated it all pretty. made me v happy to enjoy dinner this way. fun fact: I went to Japan to visit family about ~10 times before eating real sushi there!!! there are just so many other types of dishes there that go unrecognized...maybe I’ll re-inspire myself and try to recreate some at home😏

how r these bread rolls made with no yeast yet so fluffy 🥺?⁣ thnx Pinterest for (almost ) always keeping in real!! Here’s what I used: ⁣ ⁣ * 3/4 cup almond flour⁣ * 5 tablespoons psyllium husks whole, NOT powdered⁣ * 1 tablespoon Monk Fruit Sweetener or powdered sweetener of choice⁣ - I think they can be fine without it though ⁣ * 1 teaspoon baking powder⁣ - make sure it’s not old :- )⁣ * 3/4 teaspoon sea salt⁣ * 3 egg whites⁣ - at room temp works better ⁣ * 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar⁣ - you can try white vinegar too ⁣ * 1 cup boiling water⁣ * seeds to top⁣ ⁣ * Preheat the oven to 350ºF.⁣ ⁣ * In a bowl, add almond flour, psyllium husk, baking powder, sweetener, salt and combine combine.⁣ ⁣ * Add egg whites, vinegar, and boiling water, and begin stirring for like 3 minutes. The psyllium husk will absorb the water and the dough will become thick.⁣ ⁣ * Split the dough into 6 portions, and add in mounds to a baking tray. mounds are okay bc the dough is sticky asf. Top with seeds⁣ ⁣ * Bake 1 hour... if the bread seems on the wet side inside, leave them in the oven for an additional 10 minutes.⁣ I’d do 1 hr 15 next time bc mine were a little “wet”⁣ •⁣ I love making bread it’s so therapeutic? Like the fact that it gets so fluffy is 🥺💗⁣ - I hope these work out for ya!! I read that These do not work in a convection oven. bake them in a standard gas or electric oven⁣ - also make sure it’s the whole husk.. not the powder ⁣ •⁣ ok that’s all!! ⁣ all show me ur buns!!! 😉⁣

Hey guys, it’s Hanna 👋 I’ve never formally introduced myself on this account, and now that there are more than a few of you I think it’s more than time! I’m currently a 20 year old rising senior at the University of South Carolina studying Public Relations with a business minor. I have a passion for everything ~food and fitness~ related! I started this account as a freshman in college as a way to stay motivated in my healthy lifestyle! I grew up super active and eating great food as a kid all the way through high school (thanks to my amazing parents ), but once I got to college I found myself struggling to stay healthy for the first time. I had 0 gym routine and I was lucky to have some “fruit” in my drinks for a night out 🤣 once I got to my second semester freshman year, I realized enough was enough and focused on becoming healthy again! This has never been about weight loss for me, but instead cultivating habits to set myself up for success while creating a healthy mindset.
