Another healthy meal alternative for dinner. This is calculated for my calorie needs. It is different for every body some people weigh more or are talller then others ofcourse etc. . An average portion is around 80 grams of uncooked pasta. 100 grams of minced chicken and 100 to 200 grams of greens. . 150 grams of uncooked pasta 150 grams of minced chicken 100 grams of sweet red pepper. You can chose whatever kind of greens you want. And some ketchup or someting else thats low in fats like most of the red sauces. . People ask me all the time how many calories I eat & my answer always “I have no idea, I eat whatever my body needs.” To which I inevitably receive the response: 🤨🤔. . . It’s sad really, that so many are confused by the idea of someone eating according to their intuitive needs instead of being directed by an app or another human being. But this is what being an “informed eater” is all about & this is where I have been focusing a lot of my attention with my clients in my coaching programs. . . INFORMED EATING IS... ✔️Structuring your eating behaviours based on solid, foundational knowledge of human dietary requirements (ie.overall energy, macros, micros etc ) ✔️Making food choices based on your understanding of your own body through experience. (ie. how foods make you FEEL. Are you energised? Bloated? Tired? Satisfied? Inflamed? ) ✔️Making food choices that are aligned with your hunger & fullness cues as well as energy requirements for that particular that day. This can vary both minimally & dramatically. ✔️Adopting the attitude that no foods are off-limits whatsoever, but considering the impact of your choices. I would love to finish every day off with a 500g pack of allens party mix but I choose not to because of the deleterious effects on my health & my general energy. ✔️Promotes complete dietary freedom, autonomy & personal responsibility. . . INFORMED EATING IS NOT… ✖️Eating whatever the fuck you want all the time simply because no foods are off limits. ✖️Using an external source to dictate your intake ie. MyFitnessPal or a prescribed meal plan. ✖️Ignoring your minimum daily macro & micronutrient requirements and structuring your eating behaviours based off taste alone or your emotional state. ✔️Cutting out entire food groups with no good reason. (ie. eliminating carbs to lose fat ). ✖️Ignoring the signals & biofeedback from your body & consistently over or under-eating. ✖️Consuming foods that are inflammatory to your body because they have been labelled a “superfood” or your coach doesn’t believe they are inflammatory. ✖️Eating the same thing every single day because it feels “safe”. . .
