Congrats to everyone who just became a nurse this year! I have lots of friends and acquaintances who recently passed the NCLEX and got their licenses, but they’re a little apprehensive about entering the workforce as a nurse during this crazy time. . The New Nurse Master Class is a great resource for those of you who want a thorough education on how to be the best nurse you can be as soon as you step onto the floor. It covers everything you’d want from a preceptorship and will prepare you for real-life nursing. . Click the link in my profile or head to www.theivguy.com/resources to learn more! . FYI, I’m an affiliate for these courses and make a small percentage of each sale, at no additional cost to you. If you want to learn how to become an affiliate marketer, click that same link 😉 . #nurse #nursing #rn #rnlife #nurselife #instanursing #nurseproblems #nursingschool #nursingproblems #nursingschoolproblems #nursesofinstagram #nurses #studentnurse #nursingstudent #registerednurse #lvn #instanurse #nclex #nclexrn #nclexprep #nursingclinicals #clinicals #nursingschoolclinicals #nursingstudents #nursinglife #nclexreview #nclexpreparation #nclexquestions

👉🏼 One of the characteristics of the client with Bipolarity is manipulative behavior. ✅ From the beginning of the nurse-client relationship, parameters and limits must be established that keep the client with an acceptable behavior within a therapy group. 1️⃣ Establish consistent and realistic limits and, communicate acceptable group behavior to the client. 2️⃣ Be clear when mentioning the consequences of going outside the established limits. 3️⃣ Discuss the client's behavior without establishing judgment or threatening. 4️⃣ Avoid making arguments with the client. 5️⃣ Encourage the client to establish and recognize limits in their own behavior. 🟢 Do you prefer the question answer to be posted the following day ? 🤓 I will read your comment ⬇️ or 📝 DM me if you prefer Español 👉🏼 Una de las características del cliente con Bipolaridad es la conducta manipulativa.

INVEST IN YOURSELF & TAKE THE LEAP ✨⠀ ⠀ Isn't it weird that we don't think twice about $45+ towards clothes, brunch, eating out, or even a mini shopping trip on vacation but we are hesitant on booking a 1:1 coaching call or investing in a book?! 🤷🏻‍♂️⠀ ⠀ The fact is, that every time I've invested in myself, there has always a 100% return in investment, if not more. The belief that money spent on personal development is not worth it can be connected to the lack of believing in yourself or even feeling like an imposter. I've been there! That being said, we legitimately only have this one life to shine, and to purposely dim your light and avoid the work to get the things that you want is a life unfulfilled. 🌱⠀ ⠀ Are you ready to take the leap? Are you ready to get ready for your dream job? All you have to do is decide that you want it enough for yourself. I promise it's worth it!⠀ ⠀ Are you failing or struggling in school? Preparing to study for your boards? Feel like your resume is weak? Frustrated that you aren't hearing back about the jobs you are applying to? I'm here to help. 🙋🏻‍♂️⠀ ⠀ I am now offering 1 hour long 1:1 Coaching Sessions. 📞 Not only will you be talking to someone who has definitely been there, but you'll also get all the insider tips+ tricks. 🎓📚⠀ Availability and slots for my coaching are limited so DM to inquire! During, these 1:1 coaching sessions we'll focus on everything career-related-- how to get into nursing school, studying/ organizing during school, how to pass the NCLEX, & craft the perfect resumè + cover letters, and crush your interview to land your dream job! 💗🌈⠀ ⠀ I'm so excited about your growth & helping you feel like you're actually working towards what you want. I promise, once you're ready to invest in yourself, you'll be so surprised by how far you'll grow. 💪🏻⠀ ⠀ DM me to get started loves! ✨💗⠀

Reposted from @real .medically Follow @real .medically Pregnancy begins with a fertilized egg. Normally, the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus. An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus. CEREBROVASCULAR ACCIDENT (Stroke ) These are often called the “heart attack” of the brain. While scary to experience, we have many interventions to help manage strokes and prevent them - the key ingredient is TIME! The faster a nurse is able to intervene, the higher likelihood that the patient will have a good outcome! This question will for sure be on the NCLEX so make sure to save this post and review the topic!

My preceptor surprised me my last day of preceptorship with this cake🎂 🍰 !! I got to learn from the most amazing crew that really turned what started out as lemons into lemonade 🍋 💕 If you read my previous posts, you’d know that I was placed at a rehab because hospital placements were not an option for my cohort due to COVID19 restrictions here in Massachusetts. 💉 📖 I’m so happy to have finished my clinical hours with such a friendly and enthusiastic group at this world-renowned rehab and to experience a different side of nursing. I had the opportunity to shadow the wound team, managers, physicians, and respiratory therapists as well, which was truly eye opening and helpful. I’m looking forward to practice, even in these uncertain times. 📚 #ati #livereview for #nclex this week then finishing up my nursing school journey with a comprehensive on Friday ✏️ 🥳 😄 🎉 🎊 Tagging some awesome pages that helped me through school!

Some students have the perception clinical instructors and faculty are to accommodate them because they expressed a need or want. That’s it’s mandatory for them to be empathetic and sympathetic. Fact is, that’s not true. Some Black Nursing students feel like their Black Instructors are hard on them because they’re Black. They probably are. I went live sharing my point of view on both topics. My name's Dana, I’m a recent biomed graduate and will be studying dentistry later this autumn. It's been a whirlwind of a journey for me so I wanted to create a platform to share my experiences and offer advice to others. I've applied to dental schools in the UK and Ireland, applied for transfers, studied dentistry abroad and finished an undergrad, all before finally getting into a course in London. So it's safe to say that there's a lot of advice to give! For aspiring dentists, it's been an unsettling time so I'm here to help with applications and offer unique advice for your transition into university. #enfermera #enfermerassinexcusas #enfermerasdepuertorico #nclex #nclexprep #enfermeralatina #estudiantesdeenfermeria #enfermerasenproceso #puertorico 🇵🇷 #floridanurse #nclexpr #escuelasdeenfermeriapuertorico #estudiantesdeenfermeriapr #nclexreview .pr

PRIORITY QUESTIONS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These are common questions that are useful to ask when dealing with these difficult NCLEX questions. Typically in a priority question, they are trying to gauge how well you can identify a life-threatening situation. These questions also tend to focus on interventions before calling the HCP, HOWEVER, that still might be an answer option! Examine the questions carefully, read each key word, and apply your own critical thinking. A big tip is to practice, practice and practice! This is a skill that cannot simply be learned in one day and needs constant application in order to master! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let us know if this was helpful and if you have any more questions/useful tips! I have been absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude. #storytime I started nursing school journey in 2016 while working full time with a 3-year-old. I saw so much negativity about failing nursing school that I was afraid to pursue my dream. 4 years later…I did not just survive, I thrived.🕊 If I would have listened to the negative stigma, fears, and hate about nursing school then I would not be here. It is not easy, but it is possible if you work hard! I had one mission since I started BeautifulNursing.com to make nursing materials more affordable, understandable and accessible so more people could enter the field of nursing. BeautifulNursing has blossomed beautifully and I cannot thank you enough for the support, messages, and reviews! I introduce my latest creation of an NCLEX review study guide. I wanted to make this super affordable at $5 so everyone can have the same advantage! Make sure to check out all my free nursing school printables on my website too!!! I love you all. COMMON NURSING INTERVIEW QUESTIONS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With an increase in demand for nurses in the workforce right now, we thought it would be important to dedicate a few posts on how to acquire a nursing job! Regardless of the pandemic situation, many employers will still require a type of interview process (whether over the phone or Skype ) and will most likely ask a series of these questions! Be prepared and don’t show those nerves - you got this!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When answering questions attempt to show the best side of you. If there was conflict - how was it resolved? Make your weakness a strength! Never end any of your answers on the negative side. Make sure to ask questions to your employer as well. Not only are they interviewing, but you are interviewing them as well. ADDITIONALLY - check out our YouTube video on Nursing Practice Interview! Make sure to give it a like : ) Answers to most of the questions are located there! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are common scenario questions: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You walk into your patient’s room and find them on the floor. How would you deal with this scenario? Your patient has a history of diabetes mellitus. You enter your patients room and find them unconscious. What would you do? You are to administer hydromorphone 1-4mg PRN to your patient before their physiotherapy session. How much would you administer and why? Your patient returns from an MRI and appears short of breath, confused and you notice emesis on the floor. What would your assessments and interventions look like? Your patient has pneumonia. What assessments would you perform upon initial assessment? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Leave a comment if you’ve had any other interview questions!

In this clip I’m demonstrating two important techniques. First, notice how I stop then lower the needle as soon as I see flash, then advance another 4mm BEFORE threading the catheter. . This is an incredibly important step because the moment you see flash, the catheter itself is likely still in the wall of the vein. Lowering your angle and advancing a little more will ensure that the catheter tip is in the lumen of the vein and can be threaded without causing damage to the wall, which will often blow the vein. . The second technique I’m demonstrating is the two-handed catheter advancement. This is when you use your non-dominant hand to thread the catheter while keeping the needle still with your dominant hand. This is my preferred technique, but I realize it doesn’t work for everyone. Figure out what you’re most comfortable with and stick to that 😉 . If you want to learn everything you need to know in order to start IVs, check out my comprehensive IV Video Course!
