There... I said it and believe me, it is true. Negativity is absolutely contagious and can easily be spread. Let’s be clear on one thing to start things off, there may be no cure — But There Is A Way To Stop The Spread. How many times have you had an encounter with a rude or negative person and then felt negativity the rest of the day? This could be someone who has not thanked, where we think a thanks would be due. someone cutting in front of the line, or even when someone gives criticism with harmful intent. So where does it come from? We never truly know what someone else is going through, or why they are taking specific actions. Today, I aim to offer a solution to this problem but simply asking yourself “ What Can I Do To Help?” and the impact your answer could give you. Animals don't wake up feeling guilty for their past indiscretions, so why do people spend so much time feeling guilty for their actions. How many times have you shamed yourself for acting a certain way? How many times was this process of beating yourself up actually helpful? I’m guessing, probably not very many. When did anything great every come from beating yourself up into 'being better’. The more time and energy spent feeling guilty, the more we continue to look for areas in life to feel guilty about and so we create a pretty miserable existence for ourselves…'I shouldn’t have spoken to that person that way', 'I should have conducted myself better in that situation', 'why didn’t I handle that better’, the list goes on. To what end do we say enough to the negative self talk, get off that thought train and decide that carrying so much guilt is both pointless and worthless. ⠀ A question I've been asking myself a lot recently is what if I didn’t have to beat myself up every time I didn’t do something ‘perfectly’, what if I just moved on with my life and how might my life be if I liberated myself from guilt.

Since life’s taken over I’ve started posting on here every other day as there’s just not been enough hours in the day to share like I used to! . . I’ve chatted to a lot of people over the last few weeks about how they’ve lost their ‘insta mojo’ and how they’re ‘struggling to keep up’ and being completely honest I’ve related to a lot of what they’re saying. It’s only to be expected though as normal life and routines have resumed and therefore our priorities and focusses have obviously shifted. There’s nothing bad in this though and I think all too often we beat ourselves up for feeling the way we do and don’t realise how tough adjustment can be. Life is all about balance though and as much as I would love a full time insta job, like I did in lockdown 🤣, it’s just not realistic and I now set myself a set time each day to share and catch up on all your gorgeous posts and stories. . . Give yourself time out if you need it and remind yourself why you started your home account. Since being kinder to myself and adapting my routines to achieve more balance I’ve been a lot happier and I’m loving this experience so much more 🤍 . . Ps. While we're on the subject of building health, we tend to assume that mind is dissociated from the body. We casually degrade ourselves. But let's not forget our body is constantly listening to us, & it also changes its behaviour accordingly. The second pillar of immunity is emotional hygiene. Back when the human was a hunter gatherer, the only kind of stress he used to experience was a physical threat to survival. Spotting a carnivore used to raise his stress hormone, which in turn activated the heart, lungs and brain in order to run from the animal, or fight it. It was the mind commanding the body – "This human has to survive. Right now, digestion, absorption, repair, detoxification or immune strengthening is not important. Only survival is." When the danger used to get off, the body used to bounce back to normal. But in today's era, the stress we harbor is no longer physical, it's psychological. There's no real danger, but can the mind tell the difference? Not really. It still puts the body into survival mode when we stress over something, and all our vital activities are dampened because our mind is trying to focus on fight or flight. But since there's no specific danger, there's no specific relief either. Now, the stress hormone cannot switch itself off, and it wreaks havoc in our system. Diabetes, blood pressure, PCOS, PMS, hypo/hyper thyroidism are some classic examples of the stress hormone gone against us. Holding grudges, resentment, constantly complaining and being anxious typically weakens our immune system by the same means. Clean and healthy eating works well only with balanced, well managed emotions. There are trillions of cells working solely for us, and they listen to every thought we have. It doesn't serve us to degrade and mock ourselves all the time, because our cells are going to take it as a command, and start working against us. Techniques like deep breathing, yogic breathing exercises and meditation help immensely to combat stress. But since they cannot be packed in pills and sold for profit, they have not been popularized as immune boosters. But are they potent? Nonetheless. Part (2/3 ) on Immunity – sleep, emotions and food
