Make sure your fridge/pantry are stocked up today. You should have a wide variety of things for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, as well as some fun things you love. Many of us associate meal prep with a diet we’ve been on, but food prep in and of itself has nothing to do with dieting and everything to do with setting yourself up for success this week with a variety of nutrient dense foods that make you feel good! Meal prep does not mean you need to eat the same thing over and over or cook all your food on Sunday, forcing yourself to constantly eat leftovers all week. Ik was zo zenuwachtig, en vroeg me af of ik überhaupt wel IETS uit mn strot zou krijgen.🤭 Het is gelukkig helemaal goed gekomen, maar je herkent het vast wel. Je moet bijna het podium op (of iets heel spannends doen ) en je hebt er zoveel zin in. Maar een angstig gevoel neemt de overhand, waardoor je het liefst zou willen wegrennen! 😱🤯🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Wat kun je doen op zo'n moment om jezelf te kalmeren en je te kunnen focussen op jou doel? 1. Ademen 🧘🏼 Blijven ademen is een van de waardevolste tips die ik ooit kreeg, zet twee voeten op de grond en adem in door je neus, en uit door je mond op "haaaa". Je lichaam krijgt hierdoor een seintje om te ontspannen, en als je dit een aantal keren achter elkaar herhaald zul je merken dat je spanning langzaam wegvloeit. 2. Voorbereiding🧠 Voorbereiding is ECHT het halve werk, als je weet dat je super goed bent voorbereid op wat jij wilt gaan doen zul je merken dat je zelfvertrouwen toe neemt. Heb je je zo goed voorbereid en ging het toch niet helemaal zoals je hoopte, besef je dan dat je zonder fouten te maken niet kunt groeien. Neem het mee voor een volgende keer en kijk waar je van kunt leren. 3.Visualisatie 💭 Een hele mooie krachtige oefening is om je voor te stellen hoe jij op het podium staat en alles precies gaat zoals jij het bedacht had. Hoe goed voel je je tijdens je optreden, en waar geniet je allemaal van? Heb je een glimlach, trotse houding en jouw favoriete kleding aan? Doe je ogen dicht en voel wat het met je doet als je hieraan denkt, en neem dit gevoel met je mee het podium op! Wat helpt jou voor angst (innerlijke saboteur ) het allerbest? Plan. Routine. Exercise. Prioritise. Avoid constant alerts. Reach out to others. Eat well, hydrate, nourish. • I came across this acrostic and knew I had to re-share. • When it feels like things are slightly crazy, I know for me anyway, I take real comfort in routine. It can be an anchor and proof that no matter what else is going on in our lives or days, knowing that some things will stay the same can be really comforting. This might not be for everyone, but for some, it can really help with purpose, structure and direction. • P - lists, checklists or notes in your phone. R - set an alarm for the same time every week day. Have a shower and get dressed. E - just some form of movement, preferably outside. Even a walk round the block. P - what is the most important thing? Set yourself realistic targets, anything else is a bonus. A - text notifications, news alerts, pop them on mute for a while. R - human connection. Phone a friend or meet for a coffee date. E - eat well, drink lots of water and look after yourself. • It’s never too late to make tiny tweaks to your routine. All you have to do is start. Just a little food for thought this Monday morning - maybe save this post so you can refer back to it when you need. • P.S. sharing this slightly old sunny photo in the hope that it encourages a little bit of sunshine today. HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! If you are drinking... Drink Responsibly! You don’t have to consume thousands of calories in one night. Make the best choices Maybe don’t have 10 sugary cocktails? alternate with a spirit and diet mixer or something like that If you are an AVID after a night out snacker or binge eater... prepare something that you can eat when you get home that is filling, equally delicious and won’t undo all of your hard work through the week. We are all about “balance” over here but balance isn’t going ALL out on the weekend it is enjoying time with your pals and not going crazy. If you are going crazy on the weekend... the bigger question might be... are you restricting too much during the week?? So have a serve of pasta, stir fry or 1 sachet or 2 min noodles ready! Don’t be silly and leave a salad... who wants salad? Leave something that is filling and satisfying! Picking whilst standing at the fridge is the worst and you will quickly rack up quite the hefty resume of foods and calories.. I hope that all made sense!
