Truth bomb 💣 (Read to end ) I gained 5️⃣0️⃣➕ pounds with each of my babies😳 People always asked “how I lost all that weight!” I always told them I didn’t do anything, but in retrospect🕵🏼‍♀️ I did do PLENTY, I just didn’t know it at the time🤷🏻‍♀️ 🔸I ate intuitively🥗. 🔸I kept busy/moving 🤸🏽‍♀️ 🔸I ate “treats” in moderation 🧁 🔸barely drank alcohol🍹 (1-2x/month ) if that... Fast forward almost 7 years since my last pregnancy... Over the last 4-5 months I noticed the weight starting to creep back up and I was getting fluffier. What changed? Well ALL OF THE ABOVE. 🔹I was eating through my emotions 🥺 🔹I was sitting on my 🍑binging on Netflix 🔹I was consuming treats 🍩multiple times/week 🔹I was drinking 🍹 2 or sometimes 3 😳 times/wk REALITY SANK IN and I had to put my foot 🦶 down ⬇️ to all of it but MAINLY the drinking because addiction is REAL. I have never been addicted to alcohol, but I could bet I could if I really allowed it to take over me. I have seen how it consumes people and takes over their life. I have taken care of patients as a nurse 👩🏼‍⚕️ going through alcohol withdrawals delirium tremens and seen them die from liver cirrhosis, too. I have seen alcohol tear families apart and kids neglected because of their parents “too busy” to spend time or care for their child. _ I just never wanted alcohol part of my daily or weekly life. I could blame this last year of me going through a terrible traumatic experience or this damn virus, but I know better than use those FALSE excuses. (Well, I tried to blame both of that for a HOT 🔥 minute, but then I had that hard conversation with myself ). I’m just here trying to be honest with myself and create a healthier and honest life for me and my boys❤️ Admitting to yourself is the HARDEST part. I'm tired of not being represented I'm tired of seeing people that do not look like me. I'm tired of seeing "perfect". I want to see images of real women! With real bodies of every shape, size and colour. When I buy a breastfeeding bra. I want to see an image of a women that looks like she stepped out of a maternity ward, Instead of a underwear magazine. I WANT TO SEE REPRESENTATION When I buy a mom Jean I don't want to see a 17year old model... I WANT TO SEE REPRESENTATION When I buy a belly binder or Maternity briefs post birth why the hell does the model have a 6pack and sinched waist.... Week 2, #BBGZeroEquipment Full Body Circuit ✅ When starting something new, it can be so hard to not want to immediately do *ALL THE THINGS* at once and get it right “this time”......the problem with too many changes, even when they are meant for good, can easily become overwhelming & cause early burnout. Changing eating habits, better nutrition, more workouts, upping water intake.... it’s enough to make anyone’s head spin 🤯 Trying to do it all at once can easily make the feeling of failure creep up fast if you miss just one of those things. I’ve only been doing the new BBG program for 1 week & have already experienced it. Didn’t get in all my workouts last week, meal tracking & watching nutrition was up and down, water intake was way too low... Week 1 and I already felt like a failure 🤦🏻‍♀️ And really, I should know better by now 🤷🏻‍♀️ So, I’ve decided with the start of this new program, I’m taking things way way way back to the basics. My only 2 goals I have right now are to 1. Make enough time for myself to get all of my workouts in 2. Increase water intake Anything else right now, and it’ll get too overwhelming. Once I’ve got these 2 habits going without even have to think about it anymore, I’ll focus more on nutrition. I’m not saying I’m going to have pizza & ice cream at every meal now, but I am going to give myself more grace & space to work on nutrition when I’m ready. FLOATING INTO THE WEEK LIKE 🏄🏼‍♀️ 🏄🏼‍♀️ Today’s mantra is “I am surrounded by abundance” and I think it’s a great reminder. REAL TALK - In these past few months with covid, I have felt so many negative emotions that came with the quarantine like frustration, sadness, anxiety, but I just need to take a step back and notice that despite all this, I am surrounded by abundance. An abundance of support from friends, love from family, assistance from work, and an entire online community going through the exact same thing and coping with it the same way I am {fitness} 🏋🏼‍♀️ I’m happy that despite the unknown we’re living in, I live in a great city that has several options of enjoying the outdoors with my friends 🏄🏼‍♀️ So in case you need a reminder, remember that you too are surround by abundance and just focus on what those things are for some positivity 🥰 . .

I often get asked the question “Am I lifting heavy enough to see results?” . It can be hard to know if you are using the correct weight when you are lifting. It can be intimidating to pick up the heavier weight and trust you won’t hurt yourself or lose correct form. So we tend to stay in our comfort zone. Especially because sometimes those 10 reps are still hard and never seem to get easier. So why would we move up if they are still hard? Have you had these thoughts? . I thought it might help if you see a video of what I think lifting heavy should look like. I showed you reps 4-10. It’s not pretty. It doesn’t sound pretty. I kinda sound like I’m giving birth 😂 If you don’t look like this when you are lifting...you can do more! . I always say out of 10 reps it should burn by rep 7 and reps 8-10 should be freaking hard. Those last three reps are where the magic happens. If you stop when it starts to burn you are missing the most important part! During the last few reps you should not be able to smile, talk to someone, think about your day or anything else other than lifting that weight up and down and not dying. Sounds fun, huh? It totally is!! 😉 . I am always chasing the next heavier weight. It is so much fun to see what I’m capable of doing! I didn’t use to have this mentality though. I would pick up the same weights every time because I had decided I couldn’t do more. But I was only hurting myself because I never saw any progress. It was frustrating. If you aren’t seeing progress you might not be using enough resistance. . If you are doing 3 sets of 10 reps each and 25 lbs is the max you’ve done how do you go up? Set 1 I’d do the 25s. Set 2 I’d go up to the 30s and do as many as possible. Finish the rest of the reps with 25s. Then set 3 the same thing. You’ll slowly increase your max reps on set 2 and 3. Each time you do the exercise try to increase by just 1 rep. You can do this because you are STRONG💪🏼 . *Now if you hit the burn before rep 7 it’s too heavy. If you lose your form and arch your back etc then you are too heavy.

DIET UPDATE 🍉 This past week was supposed to be Week 2 of another 6 week diet phase. Week 1 was solid (swipe ) hitting my calorie goals & workouts like a pro. But Week 2 didn’t go as planned (see my last post ). Parę słów o tegorocznych wakacjach 🌞 (które jeszcze się nie skończyły 😅 ) Pandemia nie zachęca do dalszych podróży, ze względu na bardzo dynamicznie zmieniająca się sytuację wypad nawet w obrębie strefy Schengen może być kłopotliwy 🙄 Dlatego z wielką przyjemnością odświeżyłem sobie perełki wokół Wrocławia, jakie można zobaczyć i zwiedzić: ➡️Świdnica, ze swoim pięknym rynkiem (najlepiej zachowanym zespołem zabudowań zaraz po wrocławskim rynku ) oraz kościołem Pokoju, który jest największą drewnianą barokową świątynią w Europie - czym zasłużyła sobie na wpis na listę światowego dziedzictwa UNESCO ➡️Jaworzyna Śląska, z jedną z największych kolekcji parowozów oraz wszelkich wagonów kolejowych z przedwojennennej Polski przełomu XIX i XX wieku, w tym i pierwszą pospieszną lokomotywą z czasów II RP (która obecnie czeka na gruntowny remont )🚂 ➡️Wydział Architektury Politechniki Wrocławskiej - zwany "Hogwartem" - położny jest na uboczu głównego kampusu, przy parku Stanisława Tołpy. Be so proud of your strength and hard earned muscle! It doesn’t matter if you are on Day 10 of your fitness journey or 3 years in like me. Flex those arms with pride because being consistent with your exercise and nutrition can be so challenging. You sacrifice time, money, sleep, etc to be rewarded with at times very slow progress. I promise it’s worth it though! You prove to yourself that you can do freaking hard things. You’ve worked your butt off and it’s exciting to see muscle coming in. Know that you are STRONG!

I often get asked “How soon can I expect to see results?” The answer is...it depends. It depends on your genetics, the type of workout you choose to do, how hard you push yourself during workouts, if you are lifting heavy enough, hitting your daily protein goal, hitting your daily calorie goal, how well you sleep, your gut health, etc. Just a few small things : ) . It’s taken me 3 years to get to where I am now. I succeeded in sticking to my plan this time because my mindset was different. I had zero time lines or expectations. I just knew that I was tired of being the weak, irritable, skinny fat 37 yr old mom of 4. I wanted to feel strong! I knew that it would take a long time to change my mindset, habits and body. So I decided I would go slow, put no pressure on myself and just enjoy it. . So the first year I did @Kayla_itsines bbg program which consisted of hiit workouts three times a week. They absolutely killed me because I wasn’t used to exercising. I just did what I could trusting the process that I would see results at some point. I didn’t even own a scale so I didn’t worry about the weight coming off. I just focused on being consistent with my three workouts and cutting out junk food. I stuck with the program and slowly in time, I gained the confidence I needed to start lifting weights. . Then I’ve spent the last two years learning how to lift and track calories. I knew absolutely nothing about strength training or nutrition. I had zero muscle as you see in the second pic because I had never been in a gym before. I genuinely enjoy lifting now because I’m so excited to see what I can do that day. I increase reps, weights or sets every single day. I’m always chasing the next heavier weight. . Ladies you are stronger than you think!! Pick up that heavier weight! Those last few reps that burn when you are going slow and controlled are where the magic happens. Challenge yourself! I love to hear when you kick butt with a heavier weight, so please tell me 🙌🏻 . Just do your best with some sort of movement each day and changing 1-2 nutritional habits. Work on building a strong foundation and in time the results will come 💪🏼

I’m upping my weights and stepping up my game 👊🏻💪🏻 I’m absolutely loving #PWR 3.0 (it’s only day 2 ), and today’s #legday was killer. I know I said it yesterday, but I really missed those pyramids! I was consistently upping my weights (pre COVID ) and I’m happy to be doing that again. I started #pwrprogram 3.0 today and let me tell you, those pyramids felt goooood! 💪🏻💧 I didn’t realize how much I missed that style of training, and it was nice not to do any burpees with a tuck jump...
