📗 YOUR MOTHER'S NOT A VIRGIN! 📗 "This is the best book you'll ever read In your life! It's open and honest. Sad in parts but author John Barbour shines and triumphs in this wonderful book about his life. This was not only a privilege to read. It was an honor. Don't let the size intimidate you. I sailed through this so fast. Once I started I couldn't put this down! You'll just love this book and will form a strong and loving attachment for the author. I can't express in words how much I enjoyed reading this book. It's a true gem. Love they say is a beautiful thing but what is love?. Love is patience, love is forgiving, love is understanding, love is caring, love is never judging, love does not need you to be perfect to love, love is kind, love never condemns, love is always enough. Marriage should be all of this and more but today we see the opposite. Our lack of understanding of the God kind of love is what has caused chaos in our relationships and marriages. Love does not have a way out, love is always in it till the end. The problem today is that an imperfect spouse wants his/her partner to be perfect while they remain the same. Marriage does not have to be perfect to be good, it just has to have love. Baby, we are imperfectly perfect together and this love will last forever. #Marriagegoal #loveisbeautiful #makeitwork #TheKennedys

~Timeline fast-forward: one of my favorite RFK photos ever, an achingly beautiful picture that tells a story.~ 📖 Filled with the brooding melancholy of the Black Irish, RFK prized the logic of the Greeks, the courage of the Romans. He once told his friend Arthur Schlesinger, “Sometimes I wish I was never born.” He was more than a junior Senator from New York. He was a folk hero, a pop icon, a symbol of political opposition and glamorous royalty; he was his brother’s brother, and his family’s heir, and his party’s prince. He had an existential dimension. He defined and created himself in action, and learned almost everything from experience. His end was always unknown. He dared death repeatedly. He was preoccupied with suffering and despair. When his brother died, he passed through a night of dread, and learned about the absurd. He had the capacity to trust his instincts and become authentic. He was always in a state of becoming. —RFK: A MEMOIR by Jack Newfield 📷 May 8, 1967: Robert F. Kennedy during a tour of a tenement house on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Photo taken by Fred W. Happy Monday, thought I would glam it up while I’m lying on my sofa in my sweats with a sore back. It must have been the heels from my photo shoot over the week 🙃 end. I promise to give a lot more details to this outfit. This is the jacket that I posted which has the stitching on the outside. A night at the opera. The shawl is real fur...made by Gucci. A lot people think that it’s the same shawl that she wore out and about on the streets of Tribeca with John in the fall of 1996 with a Prada trench, it’s not. I own that coat as well and I will show you pictures on the mannequin with this Gucci shawl, this one is much bigger than the one she’s wearing with the Prada trench. Now I gotta to my #

U.S. Coast Guard Station at Peanut Island built in 1936. Peanut Island is a 79-acre island at the mouth of the Lake Worth Inlet. The island was created by dredging-related projects in 1918 which also created the inlet and the Port of Palm Beach. Originally named Inlet Island, it was renamed Peanut Island for a planned peanut oil-shipping operation which failed in 1946. The island was also the location of a blast shelter built in secret for President John F. Kennedy shortly after his 1960 election. #uscg #peanutisland #kennedybunker #thekennedys #palmbeach #palmbeachmaritimemuseum

Yohji Yamamoto., both pieces. This jacket is a true piece of art, I no nothing about social media, honestly this whole # shit, just pisses me off and I can’t be bothered. I don’t even know why I’m supposed to be fucking # in the first place? I shall google why later. But what I wanted to say was I’ve seen people doing live videos for whatever reason...so having said that if anyone’s interested I could do live videos with the clothes. I am telling you, you will be flabbergasted when you see the pieces live. Yohji Yamamoto is a genius. I should probably # him. I will. #yojhiyamamoto @yohjiyamamotoofficial

1/5: 📖 In a state with a disproportionately large Catholic population, JFK won [Wisconsin] with 56 percent—not enough. On election night, CBS reported that Republican Catholics were crossing over to vote for Kennedy, but that in other, less Catholic states, he would be in trouble.... Bobby, who had shed a pound a week trudging through the snows of Wisconsin for much of the winter, was off to West Virginia, to gird for the next and possibly last test. The primary in the poor mining state, coming in May towards the end of the primary season, was a must win. For Kennedy, it was the place he would have to prove that he could overcome anti-Catholic prejudice. As always, Bobby wanted straight answers from the Kennedy organization on the ground. Meeting with volunteers in Charleston, West Virginia, on the day after the Wisconsin primary, he asked, “What are our problems?” A man stood and said, “There’s only one problem. He’s a Catholic. That’s our goddamned problem!” RFK seemed to be “in shock,” reported Kenny O’Donnell, who was watching. —ROBERT KENNEDY: HIS LIFE by Evan Thomas 📖 This would be the showdown between Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey. The Kennedy victory in Wisconsin, hollow though the press said it was for Kennedy, had given Hubert little choice but to take Jack on in West Virginia, a largely Protestant, rural, and labor-influenced state that should naturally support Humphrey’s candidacy. The primary would prove pivotal for both men. —A COMMON GOOD: THE FRIENDSHIP OF ROBERT F. KENNEDY AND KENNETH P. ~Timeline backtrack (November 1952, JFK’s campaign for the U.S. Senate )~ 📖 Bobby...was witness to a monumental gaffe at an election eve rally in the Jewish community of Mattapan. Robert Murphy, the [Massachusetts] lieutenant governor, was introducing John Kennedy, who was seated in the rostrum with Bob and Ted. In his peroration, Murphy told the crowd, many of whom wore yarmulkes, “I’m telling you that if you go out and bring home the Democratic Party tomorrow, the Democratic Party is going to bring home the bacon for you for the next four years!” The audience was silent. On the dais, Jack gulped and Bobby hid his face in his hands. —BOBBY KENNEDY: THE MAKING OF A FOLK HERO by Irene & Lester David 📖 “The place was just like a graveyard, and then somebody started to clap. And then nobody clapped. And then two or three people clapped, and somebody started to laugh.... You just couldn’t imagine a worse situation for a politician. Well, [Jack] walked up to that microphone and he said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, everything that has been said and everything that COULD have been said in this campaign HAS been said.” And they roared! He said, “So I’m not going to make a speech. Instead of that, the Kennedy brothers are going to sing a song.” He [turned] to the bandleader, “Do you know ‘They’re Breaking Up That Old Gang of Mine’?” The other brothers got up and they started singing. This was the first time I ever realized that Bob Kennedy couldn’t carry a tune.... He just can’t sing! But Teddy and the President carried him, and they did very well. When they got through...they had everybody in the hall singing with them, literally turning it into a great rally.” —John Seigenthaler in AMERICAN JOURNEY: THE TIMES OF ROBERT KENNEDY by Jean Stein & George Plimpton
