Things you should do before, during, and after going to the gym.💪💧 Eat a pre-workout snack that is low-fat and high-carb with some protein. Warm up properly with a little cardio and dynamic stretching to prep your muscles. Do not stop and start moving while exercising; instead, keep steadily moving so fresh blood will be sent to repair your taxed muscles. Stay hydrated while working out. If you are sweating a lot, it's important to replace lost electrolytes with electrolyte-rich foods- essential salts regulate heartbeats, muscular contractions and nerve function. After your workout, stretch and use a foam roller to massage out knots and increase blood flow to your muscles. Immediately after working out, eat a post-workout snack of carbs to protein to help restore the nutrients lost in the muscles during the workout. Consider getting a sports massage to increase circulation and break up major knots in problem areas that are always sore. Take a cold shower post-workout to reduce inflammation of the muscles. Better recovery could be just a glass (or two, or three… ) away. Can you loss weight while breastfeeding and keep your milk supply? Good news yes🥳 Breastfeeding burns up to 500 calories a day & it’s like an extra workout. For example on average woman needs to consume 1,500cal per day to lose weight if you breast feed you will need 1,800cal-2,000 to safely loss weight. But if you eat more than that just cut 200-300cal each day to see some magic! Just never go less then 1,800cal per day it won’t effect your milk supply but this can negatively affect the quality of your breast milk. You can safely aim to lose around one to two pounds per week. (I lost 20lb in my first 2weeks, did nothing extra, then it was 2lb per week for couple of weeks and past 3 weeks it’s 1lb per week, I also had 1week when I didn’t lose any lb ) On the other hand you might not have time to calculate calories, in this case avoid junk food, don’t drink calories (juice, soda, coffee with milk and sugar )make sure you get some source of protein 3times per day, go for complex carb (whole wheat bread, pasta, rice etc. ) eat fruits and vegetables (cook them if your baby is sensitive to fresh fruits & vegetables )and of course drink a lot of water! Finding a new routine outside of gyms and studios was ROUGH. • I thrive in competitive environments with people who have common goals and coaches like @janarhn telling you to not quit on yourself. • Finding that new routine, was important to hold myself ACCOUNTABLE. • Many days I found excuses why I couldn’t work out from home, BUT shifting that mindset was key.
