I don’t wear long sleeve shirts often, but when I do I choose to on heavy pull days & wind up sweating my ass off 🥵 ~back & booty day today; been working big time on incorporating deadlifts— @therosportsmedicine says it’s the best thing for my body right now, which is sick considering compound lifts such as deads & squats have been something I’ve always wanted to work at but have been (wrongly ) told for so long that it will injure me. My recommendation?: find a physiotherapist who actually knows their shit & specializes in working with athletes and those who value weightlifting and working out. A few hours ago when I was a much happier gal ☹️ Melbourne is back in stage 3 lockdowns so I’m a little bummed to say the least. I know it’s necessary to bring our cases back down, but it still sucks. Bye gym, bye job, goodbye seeing friends and family 😔 I have spent the last 10 mins writing down the things I am grateful for to make sure my mind doesn’t spiral into a negative panic. If you are in the same situation, I definitely recommend taking a step back and trying to focus on some aspects you are grateful for. If you need anyone to talk to, my messages are always open. It’s such a hard time for so many people and my thoughts are with those who have lost their jobs again, those who have had their plans cancelled and especially those who have lost loved ones to this horrible virus.
